I found a leaf at my feet amongst many other leaves under a tree while sitting at a table outside. I wrote on the leaf "this leaf is important." I left the leaf among the other leaves.
This is an awesome work. I feel like it addresses a strong reality in society. By saying it is important sets it apart in a way that the leaf never could have been. We tell people they are important and they become important. If we decide to move to a town, the town becomes important. The thing goes unchanged really, but our association with the thing changes and grants worth, if only in a perceived reality.
